June 8 – Day 159. Sow for yourself Righteousness

Our scripture will be taken from Hosea 10:12, and it reads: “Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.”  The Lord wants us to pray without ceasing and plant the seeds of righteousness within ourselves, for it is in these actions that we will reap the rewards of mercy and compassion. Let us take our prayer moment to cultivate the abandoned areas of our heart, just as a farmer breaks up fallow ground in preparation for a new harvest.  As we pray, let us remember that this is a call to earnestly seek the Lord, for the moment has arrived. We began in the book of Genesis and will conclude in the book of Revelation.  Today, we are diving into the book of Hosea, our scripture will be taken from Hosea 6:3. And it reads, “Let us acknowledge the Lord; press on to acknowledge him. As the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”  As we pray, let us take a moment to recognize the Lord and actively seek a deeper relationship with him. Just as the sun rises each day, bringing light and warmth, the Lord will make his presence known to us. Like the refreshing winter rains that nourish the parched ground, or the gentle spring rains that awaken new life, the Lord will come to us, refresh our spirits, and renew our hearts, much like the life-giving waters that sustain the earth. Our scripture will be taken from the book of Daniel, 2:23, which reads: “I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might and have now made known to me what we asked of You, For You have made known to us the king’s demand.”  In this verse, Daniel expresses his gratitude to God for the wisdom and strength granted to him during a time of great challenge. Today, as we pray, let us consider how God is granting us wisdom and strength. Let us express our heartfelt gratitude and deep reverence to the Lord of our ancestors. He has generously granted us both wisdom and strength, illuminating our understanding in ways we could scarcely imagine. He has revealed to us the answers we sought in our earnest prayers, allowing us to comprehend the intricate demands of the king.  The Lord's guidance has been our beacon in this moment of uncertainty.
