Mike Lin (profile [https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaeltlin/]) is the Founder & Chairman of Fenix International (fenixintl.com [http://fenixintl.com]), a venture backed renewable energy startup focused on building solar power systems for the 1.2 billion people without power in emerging markets. Mike founded Fenix in 2009 after a previous Africa-focused energy startup went bust. He shares how Fenix began in Uganda by developing a solar products to charge mobile phones for projects with Google and the Grameen Foundation and grew to scale through partnerships with cell phone providers like MTN, Africa’s largest telecom.
