As Jesus is arrested, he claims several times that all this is written. Prophecy is fulfilled as Jesus stands trial for a crime he didn't commit. Peter betrays Jesus by denying him three times. What connects all these stories is that by remembering the words of Jesus, we find life and redemption from our past.

You can cause yourself to love someone. You can bring yourself to love things more. In Mark 14, a very expensive display of perfume shows the difference between someone who has made an effort to treasure Jesus and someone who has been ruined by their treasures.
