Advocating for greater gender equality requires all our voices. It's not just a movement for better lives for womxn, greater gender equality benefits men too. In this episode, Marcus and Steph discuss all the little changes we can make in our lives to make this world a better place. It's about challenging the stereotypes, changing the narrative for children, and really, stepping out of our own assumptions and comfort zones around gender. Your palms sweat, your heart races, your mind floods with "What if? What if? What if?"... That's what hard conversations can feel like. And we've ALL had them. 2020 was Steph's year of learning how to have hard conversations. So, in this episode, Steph and Marcus have a conversation about hard conversations. Natch! These are the tough ones about relationships, work -- anything in life that means something to us. And they're hard precisely because there's something at stake for us. So how do we meet these head on? How do we have hard conversations without falling to pieces? Listen out for: The Jedi-like exercise that Marcus is learning, our two stages of preparation for hard conversations, how to have compassionate conversations, Steph's reasons why she doesn't resort to hyper-logical arguments in hard conversations anymore (even though she always wins those 😅). Have you had a hard conversation recently? What did you learn about yourself?
