Do We Look Like His Disciples?

Hey friends! Thank you so much for joining me in this last episode. Well, last episode for now at least. If the Lord calls me back, I’ll be back. 😊 But for now, I know a break is needed to focus on other things God’s called me to.  So, I spent some time thinking and praying about what to say in this episode, and I came away with this … I will speak about love. I’ll speak about how the Lord calls us to walk … which is with love for others. In John 13:34-35 we read this: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” How will people know that we are His disciples, which truly will be us shining the light of Jesus in their lives? It will be by our love for one another. ❤️ The more we, followers of Christ, live and love one another, the more attractive we look to the hurting world. We’re called to stand out … to look different … to love like Christ. If we do this, if we can love one another in the body of Christ, we will see others come to know Him too. Friends, I again want to thank you for joining me on this journey, for walking life with me! It’s been an enjoyable adventure! I do hope you can say the same! This time has led to such growth in my life. God definitely challenged me when He asked me to step into this. I didn’t know where it would go but I can say, I don’t regret a minute of it. Which, honestly, I don’t think we will ever regret a moment spent walking in the things He’s called us to. That doesn’t mean they won’t be difficult 🤣 … but they will ALWAYS be worth it. My Desire To Be Successful

Where does your mind go when you hear the word success? Do you immediately think of how much $ one makes, or maybe how big of a home someone has, or maybe it’s the type of work one does and the rank of their position within a company? I can tell you, a quick few clicks on the web will show you that most people seem to define success in one of these ways. As of lately, my mind has been soaking on this question … “What is the measure of success?” Or maybe I should say, “How does Heather Gibson see success?” This is an important question that we should all ponder. Endings and New Beginnings

Happy New Year, amazing Walking Life Together friends! I consider it a privilege that you would join me at the start of this new year! I pray at the end of 2023 you were able to see the good things that came from the year … even if you had to sift through some challenging and painful situations to locate the good… to find the blessings. Sometimes that’s life, isn’t it? But I can tell you, the good is there. 😊 It’s always there! The situations we walk through don’t have to define us or our day, but our reaction to the situations certainly does … and our reaction is always our choice. While my 2023 ended a little bumpy and much differently than expected, I am CHOOSING to see God at work in the midst of the challenge. I KNOW He’s at work, even when I cannot see it. Though, I believe I’m seeing some changes that are good and for that, I rejoice! 🙌🏼 Many times it’s through the struggles that growth and change occurs. Gifts Can Bring Joy, Laughter, and Sometimes Confusion :)

The joy of gifts ... well, and sometimes the laughter they bring ... or in some cases, the confusion, which was the case with the bike pedals I received one year for Christmas! 😂 In this episode I share stories of gifts I've received as well as stories shared with me by some dear friends of gifts they've received. Giving is a True Blessing

In Acts 20:35, we can read something from Paul’s farewell letter to the Ephesian elders. He said, “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” I couldn’t agree with that statement more … it is more blessed to give than to receive! Giving produces such joy! To be able to bless someone else … there’s nothing like it. When I think of the times others have blessed me by giving - whether it was a gift, a kind & encouraging word, bringing me a meal when life was hard - as I remember how people have stepped into my world to help, I am reminded to think on how I can do the same for others. Just as someone (or many someones) have stepped into my need, I want to do the same for those God places in my life. I'm honored that you would join me today! Let's learn and grow together!
