About A Transformed Life

A Transformed Life is a formation podcast. Whether you’re new to faith, returning after burnout, unlearning religious performance, or rebuilding after an encounter with God, this podcast offers a steady on-ramp into a faith that is rooted, embodied, and enduring. Each episode walks slowly through foundational patterns found in the life of Jesus. These are not topics to master or steps to rush through. They're foundations to live from. Holy Spirit is building God's family on His firm foundation. Let's become...

S1E8 - Commission & Multiply: "Sent from Life not Striving"

We are not sent because we are pressured. We are sent because we are alive. In the Season One finale of A Transformed Life, we reframe commission and multiplication through the lens of resurrection life. Jesus never commissions people who are empty, striving, or unformed. He sends those who have been with Him, formed by Him, and filled with His life. This episode dismantles cultural ideas of success, influence, and growth, and contrasts them with the Kingdom reality: living things multiply. Dead things do not. Multiplication is not hustle, it is overflow. It is Christ’s life reproducing itself through ordinary, rooted, faithful people. We explore what it means to be sent without losing our root, how Jesus’ metrics differ from the world’s, and why Season One is not an ending, but a sending. From sonship to resurrection life, this season has been an on-ramp into formation so that what flows from our lives truly looks like Jesus. Life doesn’t strive. Life multiplies. Reflection questions and prayers points for the week: * When I hear the word “commission,” what emotions or pressures surface in me and how might Jesus be reframing that invitation? * Where have I equated fruitfulness with visibility, productivity, or outcomes rather than life and faithfulness? * What would it look like for me to trust that God multiplies what is alive in me, rather than trying to manufacture impact on my own? episode S1E7: Resurrection Life - "Christ, Our Life" artwork

S1E7: Resurrection Life - "Christ, Our Life"

Christianity does not end at the cross. It moves through it. In Episode 7 of A Transformed Life, we explore what it means to live from resurrection life, not as a concept we believe, but as a reality we inhabit. Scripture tells us that Christ is not merely our Savior or helper; He is our life. And when His life lives in us, transformation becomes possible without striving. This episode invites us to stop managing sin, pressure, and exhaustion, and instead learn how resurrection life grows through abiding, receiving, and being nourished by Christ Himself. We unpack why trying harder cannot produce life, how the Word cleanses us as we “eat” it, and how formation happens slowly, faithfully, and genuinely. Resurrection life isn’t fueled by intensity. It’s sustained by intake. This episode is for anyone who has felt forgiven but not fully alive and is ready to learn how to live from the life Jesus gives. Reflection questions for this episode: * In what areas of my life have I been trying to manage death rather than live from resurrection life? * What am I currently feeding on—spiritually, emotionally, mentally—and how might that be shaping what flows from my life? * What would it look like for me to “eat the Word” more slowly and consistently, trusting God to transform me over time rather than striving for quick change? episode S1E6 - Forgiveness: "Trusting God with Justice" artwork

S1E6 - Forgiveness: "Trusting God with Justice"

Forgiveness is one of the primary places where Christian formation either continues—or quietly stops. In this episode of A Transformed Life, we explore forgiveness not as an emotion, but as an act of trust in God’s justice. Through Scripture, cultural discernment, and the life of Jesus, this conversation exposes the yokes we’ve been carrying—self-protection, retaliation, control—and invites us to lay them down. Forgiveness is not weakness; it is obedience rooted in confidence that the cross is enough and God’s justice is pure. This episode is an invitation to release what has been weighing you down and step more fully into the transforming work of Christ. Reflection questions and weekly prayer points: 1. Where have I been trusting my own sense of justice more than God's? 2. What has been shaping my understanding of forgiveness: culture or Jesus? 3. What might it look like for me to practice forgiveness as an act of obedience and not emotion? episode S1E5 - Teachability: "Never Become Familiar" artwork

S1E5 - Teachability: "Never Become Familiar"

Many of us didn’t stop following Jesus, we simply became fluent. Fluent in Scripture, church culture, and spiritual language, yet slowly less formable. In this episode of A Transformed Life, we pause to recover the posture that keeps transformation alive: teachability. Looking at the life of Jesus and His invitation to “learn from Me,” this conversation reframes teachability not as immaturity or lack, but as the chosen posture of Sonship. We explore how familiarity can quietly replace curiosity, how cultural frameworks shape our faith without us realizing it, and why the Holy Spirit is essential for keeping us receptive to ongoing formation. This episode is an invitation to return to Jesus not as experts, but as apprentices, willing to receive, to wait, and to be built again from Him. Reflective prayer points for this week: 1. Where has familiarity quietly replaced curiosity in my walk with Jesus? 2. What cultural frameworks—like productivity, expertise, or self-sufficiency—have shaped how I understand spiritual maturity? 3. What might it look like for me to remain teachable in this season—not by knowing less, but by staying open? episode S1E4 - Authority:“When the Life of Christ Is Stable Within You” artwork

S1E4 - Authority:“When the Life of Christ Is Stable Within You”

Authority in the Kingdom of God is not asserted, seized, or performed, but rather, it is entrusted. In this episode of A Transformed Life, we explore how true authority flows from formation, not position, and why it only becomes safe when rooted in Sonship, sustained through Abiding, and shaped by Obedience. By contrasting cultural authority with Kingdom authority, this conversation reframes power as stewardship and influence as responsibility. Authority is revealed not by control, but by how much life flows through us. Reflective prayer points for this week: 1. What happens to life around me when I carry responsibility or influence? 2. What area of my life might the Holy Spirit be inviting me to surrender so His life can flow more freely through me? 3. What cultural systems are forming this paradigm within me and how can this formation disrupt becoming the son or daughter God intends for me to be?
