Anchor Points
Have you noticed that it feels like everything is bad for us these days? One day eggs are good, the next day they're not. The cookware is wrong. The coffee cups are wrong. The food is wrong. Scroll social media long enough and you'll start wondering if it's even safe to breathe. It can be exhausting trying to keep up with every warning, every headline, and every new concern. But maybe this constant reminder of a broken world isn't something we should be surprised by. Jesus already told us that this world would be marked by struggle, decay, and imperfection. The good news is that we were never called to carry the weight of fixing everything. We can be wise, responsible, and care for what God has entrusted to us, but we can also rest in the truth that this world is not our final destination. God is still in control, and our hope was never meant to be found in a perfect world—it was always meant to be found in Him. Scripture (NIV): John 16:33 — “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Reflection Questions: * What worries or frustrations about the world have been weighing heavily on me lately? * Am I carrying responsibility for things that ultimately belong to God? * How can I focus more on God's promises than the world's problems today? 👉 Join the conversation here: https://www.facebook.com/DevinAlmonte/https://www.facebook.com/DevinAlmonte/ [https://www.facebook.com/DevinAlmonte/] 🎙️ Enjoying the show?
