Fighting Giants with Regan Linton

On this episode of Artful Accessibility, Chloé speaks with Regan Linton, a multi-talented Denver-based artist working as a director, writer, filmmaker, and theater artist. Regan co-wrote and directed the Warner Bros.-produced short film, Jack and the Beanstalk [https://www.imdb.com/title/tt35096620/?ref_=ttep_ep_3], now streaming on Max. Part of the Reframed: Next Gen Narratives series, the film tells the story of a neurodivergent grocery store employee denied a living wage who must find the courage to fight for what's right. Regan, a wheelchair user since a car accident resulted in paralysis, is the former artistic director of Phamaly, a disability-affirmative theater company. At Phamaly, she began developing a new artistic aesthetic that centers disability as an asset. Chloé and Regan discuss the challenges and, more importantly, unique creative power that come with navigating the art world with a disability. They explore how their disabilities have become a source of strength and creative inspiration.
