The father wound you forgot about

In this episode i am talking about the father wound. The result of the relationship between your father and you. I talk a bit about how that impacts how we see ourselves, how we handle issues, and how we show up as parents. For many men, that relationship was complicated, sometimes loving, others times just distant. This episode explores how those early experiences have shaped us as adults and how by becoming aware of what is going on as we mature and become better fathers. Remember, breaking cycles doesn’t start with being perfect, it starts by being aware and understanding.

The silent man

In this episode of Before It Reaches them, I’m talking about the belief many of us were raised with of strength meaning staying silent. For many generations, men have been taught to handle everything on their own and to avoid talking about emotions. They have been taught to just keep pushing forward no matter what. However, silence often turns into distance, stress, and anger. This episode explores where the  “strong silent man” patterns comes from, what it costs our everyday relationships, and how small acts of honesty can change our everyday lives at home. At the end of the day we must remember, real strength isn’t silence, its presence.

Apologizing is not being weak

In this episode of Before it reaches them, I am talking about something many of us never experienced growing up: a parent saying "I'm sorry." Apologizing to our kids can feel uncomfortable, especially when we were raised to believe parents are never wrong. But repair is not weakness, its leadership. This episode explores why apologizing feels so hard, how it makes connections stronger, and simple ways to take responsibility after we react. Because breaking cycles isn’t about being perfect. It’s about coming back and making things right.
