Chapter 1: 95% Must Mean Something, Right?

Here I was, being told that there was a 95% chance the lump was cancer. Of course, I clung to the fact that that meant there was a 5% chance it wasn't. The emotions, questions, thoughts, and masking to make everyone think I was fine was a lot. The whirlwind of information was beginning to ramp up. It was a journey I wasn't ready to take. Who is?

Prologue

I was sitting at my desk when I had an itch. That is when I found it, but I had to hit it at just the right angle to find it again. It was a lump. At first, I thought it could be nothing because I didn't have a family history of breast cancer, but the weight it put on me was overwhelming. It was difficult to find help, but I did. What happened from there was a whirlwind.
