Mornings with Brian Haldane
Louisiana's energy industry is calling the 2026 legislative session a success. Tommy Faucheux with the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association says lawmakers rejected most efforts to restrict carbon capture projects, arguing the state already has strong oversight in place. He also highlighted passage of the Louisiana Energy Protection Act, which shields businesses from climate change-related lawsuits. Faucheux says the session also advanced discussions on workforce development, electricity demand, and energy infrastructure, helping position Louisiana for future economic growth.
