Episode 6: Living well (CP-359593)

The One Immune Voice podcast series has been developed and funded by Janssen-Cilag Ltd in partnership with 6 patient organisations. For people living with an autoimmune or immune-mediated condition, ongoing support is needed to help manage your condition, whether from healthcare professionals, family and friends, patient organisations or learning how to best manage your condition yourself. In episode 6 of One Immune Voice our host Claudia Hammond is joined by guests Clare Jacklin, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society, and Rachel Ainley, Head of Research and Evidence at Crohn's & Colitis UK, to discuss this further. In particular, they focus on the idea of Supported Self-Management, which we began to explore in episode 5. In this episode, we delve further into the support that patient organisations have to offer, which can form a key part of managing a condition and the steps that individuals can take, alongside input from their healthcare team. Navigating support can seem intimidating, so tune in to hear about the steps that can be taken to build a supported self-management network.
