What Is An Ego? Do You Need To Have One, Rise Above One, or Become at Peace With What Is?

When you rise above your ego, do you transcend it? Do you crucify it? Or do you embody it? What is the difference between all these words and does it even matter? Why do we argue about the definition of words rather than what we really want to say?
