This podcast examines the healthcare system and it's workers who have lost touch with the premise of caring for patients. If you have ever felt unheard, disrespected, or the smallest part of a machine that moves forward with or without you, there is something to share and learn here. It is your right to be treated with the same dignity afforded every human being seeking care. We will use our collective energy to shift policy and practice until all patients come first. It's true some people are bad, but most healthcare workers are just caught in a bad system. Let's address getting traction first- then consistently moving the ball forward- taking one goal at a time. Welcome to Patient X — a podcast that examines how our healthcare system and its workers sometimes lose sight of caring for patients. If you have felt unheard, disrespected, or treated like a very small part in a very large a machine, I hope you will find support here. Our episodes share stories and lessons from my personal journey to get answers and treatment for my health issues, interviews with others who've suffered the same lack of care, and technics that can help friends and family better understand your unique situation as well as some to help you reclaim dignity in care. We’ll explore practical steps to shift policy and practice, spotlight where the system fails, and show how collective action can move the ball forward — one goal at a time.
