These pillars act as a foundation for being ready for the long run, both literally and metaphorically. The first pillar is managing stress or pressure. This can take many forms, such as mental, financial, physical from training or injury, or lifestyle-related. Understanding your resilience to these pressures is crucial, as it significantly influences your readiness for life's challenges. The second pillar is lifestyle. This broad category primarily focuses on nutrition, hydration, and sleep. Understanding the connection between your body and your lifestyle choices is essential, as it can provide a wealth of information for better health and well-being. The final pillar is movement or training. This doesn't necessarily mean running long distances or lifting heavy weights – it could be as simple as walking. The idea here is to appreciate that different forms of movement are beneficial and healthy in their own ways. The common thread tying these pillars together is your aerobic system – how well you use air and respond to different levels of exertion.
