Episode 20 - Bobby Mackey's Music World

In 1978, famous country star Bobby Mackey purchased an unassuming brick building in Wilder, Kentucky with plans to turn it into a successful country music bar. At the time, he knew nothing of its violent past, the effect it would have on his pregnant wife, or that it would come to be known as the most haunted nightclub in America. The building stands on the site of a former slaughterhouse, and the well in the basement may not only be a portal to hell, but the dumping place of a murdered woman’s decapitated head; buckle up, because that is just the beginning of the building’s dark and lengthy history. Episode 19 - Aokigahara

Located on the Northwestern side of Mount Fuji on the island of Honshu in Japan sits 30 square kilometers (12 miles) of temperate broadleaf forest. The forest is hauntingly beautiful and a hotspot for tourists and locals alike, boasting some of the most gorgeous views of Mount Fuji and featuring several volcanic caves which can only be reached after a pleasant hike through the trees. Unfortunately, the beauty of Aokigahara is overshadowed by its reputation as one of the most prevalent suicide locations in the world, second only to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Not only is the sea of trees surrounded in legend and Japanese mythology, but it is believed that the spirits of the hundreds who have taken their own lives there remained trapped in the dense and unforgiving woodland. Episode 18 - The Colorado Museum of Prisons (Our First Ghost Hunt!)

Happy Thanksgiving Whisperers! We're back to finally tell you about our experience at the Colorado Museum of Prisons, where we had our very first ghost hunt. We're also going to tell you the spooky history of the prison and share with you the stories of some of its most notorious prisoners.  This episode is dedicated to the memory of the Club Q victims.  This episode mentions suicide and gun violence. Listener discretion is advised. One of seven prisons in Canon City, Colorado, the Colorado Territorial Correctional Facility has housed thousands of prisoners since it opened when Colorado was still a territory on January 13th, 1871. At one point, Canon City had the highest per capita prison rate in the world, earning it the well-deserved nickname of "Prison City." Today, a towering stone wall topped with menacing curls of barbed wire separates the active prison, which is prepared to hold up to 930 inmates, and the Mediterranean-inspired building that has become the Colorado Museum of Prisons, which was once the Colorado Women's Correctional Institution.
