In this episode, Elsa speaks to Dr.Steve Keen, an Honorary Professor at the University College London. Before that, he taught at universities across the United Kingdom and Australia. He is an Australian economist and author and his research is centered around post-Keynesian economics, criticising neoclassical economics. He has over 70 academic publications on topics as diverse as financial instability, the money creation process, flaws in Marxian economics, the application of physics to economics, Islamic finance, and the role of chaos and complexity theory in economics. His work has been translated into Chinese, German and Russian. During the podcast we will dive into impact of climate change on economics, mathematical flaws in the conventional model of supply and demand and inclusion of non monetary variables in the calculation of GDP.

She was a pivotal figure in the Social Democratic Front (SDF) and contested the removal of presidential term limits in 2008. She later founded the Cameroon People’s Party (CPP), embracing a new era of African political leadership focused on good governance and democracy. During the podcast we will get Kah’s insights on healthcare and economic challenges in African countries and what might good economic models look like.

Gloria currently leads the Ageing and Development Unit at the African Population and Health Research Center and was previously an Associate Professor of Gerontology at the University of Southampton (UK)

Dr. Donghyun Park is currently an Economic Advisor at the Economic Research and Development Impact Department (ERDI) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), which he joined in April 2007. Prior to joining ADB, he was a tenured Associate Professor of Economics at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Dr. Park has a Ph.D. in economics from UCLA, and his main research fields are international finance, international trade, and development economics. His research, which has been published in more than 160 refereed journal papers, revolves around policy-oriented topics relevant for Asia’s development, including fiscal policy, population aging, and entrepreneurship. Dr. Park is the Managing Editor of Asian Development Review.
