Why Am I So Tired?!

As a black woman over 40, you might find yourself feeling more tired than before, and one significant reason for this fatigue can be attributed to changes happening within your body. During this stage of life, hormonal shifts, such as in menopause, can lead to sleep disturbances, depression, and mood swings, all of which can contribute to feelings of exhaustion. Additionally, age-related changes like decreased muscle mass and metabolism can result in reduced energy levels. Understanding these is essential in managing and addressing the tiredness that midlife Black women may experience.   In this episode, I share four reasons why you could be tired as a midlife Black woman. I talk about decision clutter, hormonal imbalance, dehydration, and too much clutter, period. I also share some things you could do to avoid being tired. Tune in to learn more about this and other exciting topics.   Timestamps [03:00] Why you could be so tired [03:26] #1 Decision clutter [04:42] #2 Hormonal imbalance [05:34] #3 Dehydration [06:42] #4 Too much clutter [08:33] What you could do to avoid too much clatter [10:01] Taking good care of yourself Notable quotes: ●      “Get your things together and make these decisions because when you make the decisions, everything becomes easier.” ●      “Prayer is the most important thing for a vibrant life.” Connect with me: Website: https://www.alphanista.com/ [https://www.alphanista.com/] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Alphanista/ [https://www.facebook.com/Alphanista/] Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/alphanistaofficial [https://www.instagram.com/alphanistaofficial]

episode Is Man Really the Head of Woman? artwork

Is Man Really the Head of Woman?

The Biblical concept of a man being considered the head of the woman is rooted in certain religious texts, particularly in Christian theology. Many proponents of this belief point to passages in the Bible, such as Ephesians 5:23, which states, "For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior." This interpretation suggests that just as Christ is the spiritual leader of the church, husbands are called to be the spiritual leaders of their wives.  In this episode, I am joined by Marlon Browne, the host of Straight Talk and the co-host of 2 Strong, to talk about the role of a man as the head of the woman. Marlon shares why he chose this topic, the difference between a man and a male, the role of a man as the head of the wife and the role of a woman in the household, and the difference between subservient and submission. He also shares some tips for women to find the right man to submit to and what a worshiping man looks like. Tune in to learn more about this and other exciting topics!   Timestamps [01:19] Marlon Browne’s background information and why he chose the topic [02:22] The difference between a man and a male [04:03]The role of a man as the head of the woman and the role of a woman in marriage [07:01] The difference between subservient and submission [11:54] Tip for women to find the right man to submit to [19:00] What comes first, women submitting to their men or men submitting to the Lord? [22:10] How does a worshiping man look like? Notable quotes: ●      “The terms head, leader, and submission are not bad, especially when you look at them from a Biblical perspective.” ●      “When you don’t have God as your mainstay, you can easily lead your wife into anger, resentment, and dismay, but when you follow God, the chain of command flows downward in a positive way.” ●      “If God is your head, you will not go wrong.” ●      “There is so much power in women submitting to their husbands and their husbands submitting to the Lord.” Connect with us: Maryann Reid Website: https://www.alphanista.com/ [https://www.alphanista.com/] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Alphanista/ [https://www.facebook.com/Alphanista/] Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/therealalphanista/ [http://www.instagram.com/alphanistaofficial]   Marlon Browne Website: https://tellitlikeitis.godaddysites.com/ [https://tellitlikeitis.godaddysites.com/] YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@straighttalkmb [https://www.youtube.com/@straighttalkmb] 2 Strong: https://www.youtube.com/@2Strong-FAIRMEDIA [https://www.youtube.com/@2Strong-FAIRMEDIA]
