From The Ashes: Rebuilding The Palisades

When you dream about California Real Estate... Infiniti Pools, Guest Houses and Pacific Ocean Views, you're dreaming of the Pacific Palisades. The million dollar views, and year round weather come with much more than high property taxes. They come with tremendous risk. In this weeks episode I tell a tale of my own personal connection with "The Palisades"  The only reason I ever considered a career in Real Estate is the beauty and eclectic natuer of the homes I saw up here nearly three decades ago. An impromptu visit reminds how vital it is that the city of Los Angeles stay away from ideology and focus on infrastructure, planning and engineering. And while the fires that ravaged LA are gone for now, the danger still exists.  The sheer beauty of this Pacific hamlet was once home to Craftstmen, Mid Century Modern. and Spanish Haciendias. And while rebuilding those homes is almost assured, the future of this LA Real Estate mecca is still very much in doubt.

If you said invest heavy you'd be both right and wrong. Take a little ride on the Bitcoin Mining Roller Coaster and hopefully you come out in better shape than me. Even still, I'm fairly certain there will be a few companies in this incredibly volatile industry that wind up incredibly wealthy and wind up shaping the world for next half century.

Dropping In

It started with a trip to the mountains and quickly turned into a life-changing plan. The hasty purchase of a plot of land, a Realtors license and a deep dive down the Bitcoin rabbit hole. The CryptoCabin is Los Angeles Real Estate in the Digital age.  Neighborhood insights with an entrepreneurial spirit and an  underlying question.  How does the world's oldest asset merge with its newest?  Real Estate and Bitcoin?  Store of Value, Digital Currency or collateralized base layer for lending.  A fifteen year LA bull run paired with the meteoric rise of Bitcoin. It’s still very murky.  In the premiere episode I lay out the scope for the podcast. With the tagline and subjects that I ultimately hope to explore...  Property, Philosophy and the future of Value.
