As-salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. There are many misconceptions about the Arabic word for God and the word Allah. In this episode our brother in Islam Idrees (a former Christian himself) discusses the actual word for god in Arabic, and how Allah can be found in the semitic languages. He points out where it can be found in the traditions of both Judaism and Christianity and whether or not the word was foreign to the prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) and the people of his time.
