The Trans-Dimensional Puppet Master

Why do we begin our children's lives teaching them lies (Santa Clause, Easter Bunny eggs, Tooth Fairy, etc.) and then tell them lying is bad while expecting them to still trust us? And why do our schools teach evolution; the foundation of which is survival of the fittest, but then teach eliminating the weaker (races) is evil and racist.
