We head down to Bloomington Minnesota to visit 9 Mile Brewing!  We talk with Bob Countryman, owner and CEO and John Leingang head brewer!  We talk about their first anniversary events, their current line up of beer, including our favorite Pub Ale, and their community involvement.  Steph and Will also sample their Shardic Expression No 1, an Imperial Coffee Vanilla Oatmeal Stout.  If you haven't been to 9 Mile yet, be sure to stop in while you are in the area, it will be a cornerstone on your weekend wander!

Episode 008: Millner Heritage Winery and Eponymous Brewing Cheese Pairing Featuring Cheese from Readhead Creamery

We are finally back on the road!  We talk about our recent trip to Ft. Collins, CO and then we explore just North West of the Twin Cities up Hwy 55.  We stop at Millner Heritage Winery (Kimball, MN) and Readhead Creamery (Brooten, MN).  We then pair the cheese and wine with Barrel-Aged Fruited Sours from Eponymous Brewing (Brookings, SD).  All this and more as we Wander the Weekend!

In this episode of Wandering the weekend we had out to the Amana Colonies near Cedar Rapids, IA.  We pay a visit to the Map Room, Clock House Brewing, and we sit down with Steve, one of the owners of Millstream Brau Haus.  We talk about how they are maintaining their identity, and what changes they are making to stay relevant in the ever changing craft beer community.  On our way home we stop in at Clear Lake, IA and spend some time at Lake Time Brewing!

Join us as we get back on the road after a long COVID winter. First we take a Mini Wander to Lake City, Minnesota and pay a visit to Three Little Men Toy Store and Read's Landing Brewery.  Then we go on a Weekend Wander to Decorah, Iowa to visit Toppling Goliath and Pulpit Rock Brewing.  We also check out Quillin's Food Ranch in Waukon, IA to check out some neat Grocery Store Memorabilia.  Lastly we swing by La Crosse distillery to pick up some gin for our Gin and Tonic pairing!  All this an more as we wander the weekend!
