We Could Be Elevator Gallowing

CW: Discussion of Suicide Attempts in the Elevator to the Gallows discussion. I was trying to think of a joke format that would allow me to combine "It's only a Dream, Snake Eater", with perhaps some reference to the ladder climbing as an elevator? We are watching some FRENCH NEW WAVE cinema and finding that this one is REMARKABLY ACCESSIBLE AND ENJOYABLE despite some of the negative stereotypes over the years. We Could Be Avaloning

In this episode, we cover the Iconic Cheers character "Norm", who shows up on the crew of the Lexx! Oh, it's Norb? The Anakin Kid? Oh, it's not Norb? It's the season 2 plot? Wow, I can't keep track of any of this stuff! Actually I can it's just a bit boring but hey what can you do that's just the power of podracing. We also look at Mamoru Oshii's 2001 Polish film, Avalon, a film that dares the watcher to say it's better than Ghost in the Shell as a glaring hot take. Sanga isn't quite there but he likes it a bit! We Could Be Fish Wife Guying

It's Slasher time on the Lexx! It's not a bad time except for my own genre proclivities I suppose. They're sort of trying for this one a little bit? Maybe this was a bad time to talk about our favorite sci fi episodes at the start. Sorry Wake the Dead you're no Living Witness. You're not even Meld. Now that was a good serial killer Sci Fi episode. The X-Files one where they get the Chucky guy to be the killer wasn't bad either I suppose. Anyway we also watch one of my favorite SG-1 episodes of all time that manages to combine character work, themes, and absurd sci fi concepts in a way you would think might be more common than like twice a season for a science fiction show? Anyway this episode I come unprepared and have to make a choice under pressure....a choice that Sanga will pay dearly for...
