More Than Boats, A Legacy on the Show Floor

In this episode of Lets Go Boating TV, we sit down with Bron Beal, the longtime producer of the Dallas Boat Show, to talk about why boat shows still matter. From nearly three decades of leadership at Dallas Market Hall, Bron shares what makes this show special. Six hundred boats under one roof. Twenty one dealers. Financing, insurance, storage, marinas, and education all in one place. But this conversation goes deeper than boats. Bron opens up about his journey from small town Texas athlete to professional baseball, college football, and ultimately becoming a mentor, husband, father, and grandfather. We talk leadership, adversity, faith, family, and why the boat show floor feels like a reunion for generations of boating families. If you believe boating is more than a transaction, if you believe it is a lifestyle that shapes lives, this one is for you. Save this for boat show season. Tell us your first boat show memory. #letsgoboating #letsgoboatingtv

From A Sinking Glastron To 12 Platinum Records: TL Sonny Morgan On Boats, Faith And Country Music

Rain pouring on Lake Lewisville. A 16 foot Glastron filling with water. A young TL Sonny Morgan bailing with a bucket and wondering if his first boat is going to the bottom. In this episode of Lets Go Boating, Franklin sits down with his longtime friend of 48 years to trace the journey from that little yellow 240 Weekender and a half ton Dodge pickup to big Sea Rays on Texoma, documentiums, and life in the Dallas car business during the wild growth years of the 70s and 80s. You will hear stories from Pier 121, Henry Butts Dodge, Addison Airport, and why great customer service on a 260 Express Cruiser left such a mark that Sonny still tells that story to his own sales teams decades later. Then we follow Sonny from the showroom to the stage. George Strait and Ray Benson give him a nudge toward Nashville, he racks up Album Of The Year, 12 platinum and 8 gold records, and his songs start spinning in 82 countries, from the Ivory Coast to Taiwan. But the real turning point comes at Love And War In Texas when he sees his mom in the crowd and feels called to sing for seniors. Now he is past 1,050 shows in retirement homes, bringing joy and dignity to people who wait all month for his visits. Boats, Bentleys, country music, calling, and a reminder that it is never too late to follow where God is leading you on and off the water.

From a 14-Foot Aluminum Boat to the British Virgin Islands: Brendan Bailey’s Boating Journ

Brendan Bailey joins Franklin at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show to trace a 30-year path from a 14-foot aluminum starter boat in Texas to helping families step into bigger water and bigger adventures. He shares how relationships built on inland lakes grew into lifelong friendships and careers, including customers who moved from sport boats to yachts and even into marine businesses of their own. They dig into MarineMax Vacations in the British Virgin Islands, why flotillas reduce anxiety for first-time coastal boaters, and how turnkey support makes it simple. From booking and provisioning to captains and route planning, the goal is confidence. Brendan explains how these guided saltwater trips open eyes for lake boaters who want more time on the ocean. Closing from the show floor, the conversation hits new tech like assisted and self-docking, better electronics, and easier onboard systems. Brendan talks Southwest Florida as a launchpad to the Keys and Bahamas, why service and hurricane planning matter, and how success looks like families making memories together. Passion leads, products follow.

How One Fishing Trip Changed Everything: Debbie Hanson on the Freedom Waters Mission

In this episode of Let’s Go Boating TV, Franklin Pillsbury sits down with angler and community leader Debbie Hanson at MarineMax Fort Myers to talk about how one woman’s love for fishing grew into a life-changing mission on the water. Debbie shares how her grandfather first put a fishing rod in her hand at age five and how those quiet mornings on Stanley Lake shaped a lifelong passion for the outdoors. Her story bridges generations, showing how the peace and purpose found on the water can anchor a person’s entire life. Together, Franklin and Debbie dive into the inspiring work of the Freedom Waters Foundation, an organization that connects children, veterans, and families with disabilities to the healing joy of boating and fishing. From mentoring young women through the “Heels and Reels” program to planning veterans’ cruises, Debbie shows how time on the water restores hearts and builds community. This episode reminds us that no matter where we come from, faith, family, and friendship all find a home on the water.
