Kompotoi - Rethinking Human Waste

It’s not every day that we take a deep dive into human waste, but here we are, and it is surprisingly fascinating.  We sat down with Jojo Casanova [https://www.linkedin.com/in/jojo-linder-a8b61340/], founder of Kompotoi [https://www.kompotoi.ch/en/], to explore the inspiration behind their beautifully designed compositing toilets (yes, toilets can be beautiful and these truly are). Together, we unpack what happens to the byproducts from their toilets and why society moved away from using human fertilizer. Jojo believes it is time to start thinking differently about waste. As a pioneering company, Kompotoi is leading the way in education and awareness surrounding human output. They are doing a tremendous job of challenging deeply embedded assumptions and reframing our thoughts to consider the concept of seeing waste as the valuable resource it is. Protect Our Winters
