This is Rose child healing, a weekly podcast for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I am your host Tricia Olayinka Ben-Davies and every Sunday I’ll release a fresh episode to share insight on my journey of healing from harm as well as the spiritual wisdom I’ve gained as I walk with Christ. Now let me stop there and say this: I am no expert. I don’t have letters behind my name. I don’t presume to speak on behalf of all survivors or try to suggest that their journey should look like mine. I don’t claim to have all the answers and I don’t know the reasons why. What I do know is this: God had a plan and purpose for my life before I was in my mothers womb. I know what it’s like to experience something unspeakable and have the effects of that something ripple through every aspect of your life for decades. So we’re going to talk about it.
