More than a millennium later, Baptist missionary William Carey crossed oceans to India with a burden for those who had never heard the name of Jesus. A cobbler, pastor, translator, educator, and reformer, Carey helped ignite the modern missionary movement and inspired generations to carry the gospel to the ends of the earth. Different centuries. Different lands. One mission: that the good news of Jesus Christ would reach every people and every place.
