Aligned, Even When It’s Uncomfortable

Today we’re anchored in Gospel of Matthew 5:10, where Jesus Christ says, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” That verse flips the way we normally think, because Jesus is saying you can be blessed even when things feel difficult, even when you’re facing resistance, even when doing the right thing costs you.

You Don’t Have to Earn This

Today we’re anchored in Romans 4:1–12, where the scripture teaches that Abraham was made righteous not because of what he did, but because he believed God. “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” — Romans 4:3. That’s a major shift because it shows that right standing with God is not earned through performance, it’s received through faith.

Clear Heart, Clear Vision

Today we’re anchored in Gospel of Matthew 5:8, where Jesus Christ says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” — Matthew 5:8. That verse is powerful because it shifts the focus from what you do… to why you do it. Jesus isn’t talking about outward performance, He’s talking about the condition of your heart. Because you can look disciplined on the outside, but internally be driven by pride, greed, pressure, or the need to prove something.

What Are You Really Chasing?

Good morning fam!! Welcome back to Trading with Jesus. Today we’re anchored in Gospel of Matthew 5:6, where Jesus Christ says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” — Matthew 5:6 (ESV). That verse hits because it exposes what you’re really chasing. Hunger and thirst aren’t casual, they’re intense, they’re urgent, they’re necessary. And Jesus is saying that same level of desire should be directed toward righteousness, toward being aligned with God, not just getting results.

Led by the I AM

Today we’re stepping back and resetting our perspective. We’re anchored in Gospel of John 8:58, where Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” That statement is powerful because Jesus isn’t just saying He existed before Abraham, He’s saying something much deeper. He doesn’t say “I was”… He says “I AM.” That’s the same name God gave in Exodus, which means Jesus is not just part of history, He’s outside of it, eternal, unchanging, fully God.
