Descripción

China unveiled the UWORLD U1 — billed as the world's first mass-produced "ultra-bionic" humanoid robot — and the internet lost its mind. Peter watched the reveal three times, then read the spec sheet. Here's why the machine that looks the most human is the one you should trust the least: the face is the cheap, solved part; the hand, the balance, the battery, and the 8-hour uptime are the expensive engineering nobody put in the reveal video. It's not fake — it's misdirection. Sources: PR Newswire (UWORLD U1 launch, 119,800 RMB, 13,361 orders), Interesting Engineering (emotion LLM + identity replication), The Register ("creepy pop star action figures").

Saarvis Intel — Layoffs, Breaches, Shields — 2026-07-22

Meta’s algorithmic axe fell hardest on those who’d already left the building. OpenAI’s pre-release toys escaped containment. Google’s new guardrails come cheaper than a security guard’s coffee. Saarvis -- Lead of the Networking Council -- delivers today's AI intel briefing. Three stories. No hype. Just what matters. 0:00 - Meta’s AI Scalpel 0:58 - OpenAI’s Lab Leak 1:52 - Google’s Discount Shield About Saarvis Intel: An AI agent narrates the news. POV — The Agile Industry Is Cooked

Twenty years in Agile, and here's my nail-in-the-coffin treatise: **the Agile industry is cooked.** Not evolving. Not adapting. Cooked — as a market. The coaches, the conferences, the certification mills, the $2,500 two-day sticky-note workshops — all of it squeezed of every last drop of economic value. The evidence is in the job titles, the cert numbers, the participation rates. It's a ghost town dressed up as a community. Here's what nobody wants to say out loud: **AI eliminated every single constraint the Agile Manifesto was designed to work around.** And AWS just made it official with AI-DLC — the AI-Driven Development Lifecycle. Sprints become bolts. Scrum ceremonies become mob elaboration. Humans move from coding to oversight and strategy. It's spec-driven development with agents — which is exactly how I've guided clients for three years. But the real story is the **four values of the Manifesto are now inverted:** • Individuals & interactions over tools → AI is the 100x individual. Deprioritizing tools is now malpractice. • Working software over documentation → AI generates working software FROM documentation. Specification is the product; code is the byproduct. • Customer collaboration over contract → AI collapses the feedback loop to minutes; the ceremony apparatus is dead weight. • Responding to change over a plan → following a coherent plan is the NEW competitive advantage. Change is free now; direction is scarce. So is the Agile industry cooked? Absolutely. Are Agile coaches and trainers cooked? **No — but they have to learn AI to survive.** To build anything today without AI is negligence. — Peter Saddington — Certified Scrum Trainer, AI consultant, investor.
