Let's talk about salt sensitivity and the dangers of consuming too much salt. Consuming too much sodium can lead to certain health problems, including: • Heart disease • High blood pressure • Stroke • Edema • Increased mortality The body tends to hold sodium when a person has a potassium deficiency. You can even have salt sensitivity, which causes you to retain sodium and water. But, again, this could be caused by a potassium deficiency. Sodium and potassium work together in the body. The daily requirements for sodium are 2300 mg, but the daily requirements for potassium are 4700 mg. You really need twice as much potassium as sodium. Many people aren't consuming enough potassium in their diet but consume a lot of sodium. A genetic problem can also cause some people to be salt sensitive. I believe one of the best things you can do for salt sensitivity is to increase your potassium. I don't think a low-salt diet is the answer. You don't want to end up having a potassium deficiency and a sodium deficiency. You need sodium and potassium to support the body in many different ways. If you're deficient in these key electrolytes, you could experience arrhythmias, fatigue, and weakness. Overall, you need sodium, but you need a lot more potassium. Your Waist Size Is IMPORTANT!

Did you know that your waist circumference can predict your risk of severe health conditions more than your actual weight? Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. 0:00 Introduction: Waist circumference and health 0:24 Visceral fat 1:13 Visceral fat vs. subcutaneous fat 2:44 Belly fat 3:06 Check out my video on how to get rid of visceral fat! In this video, I’m going to tell you why your waist circumference is more important than your weight. A woman’s waist should be less than 35 inches, and a man’s should be less than 40 inches. Every inch increases the risk of premature death. Visceral fat is fat that surrounds the organs and has several negative health consequences, including the following: •Sends signals to increase inflammation in the body •Contributes to insulin resistance •Hard to detect •2x-3x greater risk for heart disease •Increases risk of cancer, especially of the breast and colon Visceral fat is not the same as subcutaneous fat. Visceral fat is hormonal fat caused by cortisol or insulin. Consuming carbohydrates and frequent eating can spike insulin, leading to visceral fat. After menopause, women often lose their waistline due to a shift in hormones. Estrogen and progesterone decrease while cortisol increases. This also contributes to a loss of muscle mass. Body mass index (BMI) is not the best indicator of your overall health because it doesn’t reflect whether a person has significant muscle mass or fat. Some belly fat looks like visceral fat but is actually related to cirrhosis of the liver. episode Do Chia Seeds Have ANY Benefits? artwork

Do Chia Seeds Have ANY Benefits?

Chia seeds have been used for thousands of years. Watch this video to find out about their #1 benefit. 0:00 Introduction: Chia seeds and omega-3s 1:30 Chia seeds nutrition facts 1:52 The real benefit of chia seeds 2:02 Chia seed pudding 3:32 Chia seeds and other foods for gut health In this video, we’re going to talk about some of the health benefits of chia seeds. Omega-3s have many benefits, including supporting heart health. Salmon and sardines are among the best omega-3 sources, but what about chia seeds? It’s been said that chia seeds are a better source of omega-3s if you compare them gram for gram, but they don’t contain DHA. Chia seeds contain ALA, and only 0.5% converts into DHA. Chia seeds have also been compared to eggs. An egg contains around 7 grams of protein, while chia seeds contain 4 grams. The protein found in eggs is the most bioavailable form of protein. Chia seeds contain vitamin E, vitamin C, B vitamins, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium. Research suggests that chia seeds are cardioprotective, help lower blood pressure, benefit your brain, and can even help thin your blood. Chia seeds contain soluble fiber, which is the most significant benefit of consuming them. To make a healthy chia pudding: 1. Mix 2 tablespoons of chia seeds with ½ cup of milk or unsweetened almond milk. 2. Stir the mixture until the seeds swell and form a gel. 3. Add kefir, berries, Greek yogurt, coconut cream, or nuts. The gel that forms when you mix chia seeds with liquid is an excellent food for your microbiome. Chia seeds can help with gut inflammation and constipation. They’re also very low in lectins. Chia seed gel contains polyphenols—plant chemicals that benefit your microbes. A healthy microbiome supports your mood, energy levels, and overall health. Consume chia seeds, fermented vegetables, sauerkraut, pickles, and kimchi regularly for a healthy microbiome. One simple breathing technique can help lower blood pressure levels in just a few minutes. Try breathing in for 4 seconds and out for 6 seconds, then use a blood pressure monitor to compare your blood pressure before and after. This technique works by stimulating the vagus nerve, which influences the heart and parasympathetic nervous system. Focusing on a longer exhale can also help promote relaxation during periods of stress or anxiety. Sunlight exposure also provides additional support for healthy blood pressure by stimulating the production of nitric oxide, which helps relax blood vessels. High blood pressure often develops long before you’re diagnosed with hypertension. In fact, changes in arterial stiffness can occur years earlier. A pulse wave velocity test can help assess arterial stiffness before high blood pressure develops. Nearly 90% of hypertension cases are classified as essential hypertension, meaning the exact cause is unknown. Lifestyle factors are rarely studied in healthcare research. Arterial stiffness is often preceded by high levels of insulin, which cause sodium retention. Refined sugar consumption, chronic stress, and low magnesium are a few factors that trigger high insulin levels. The #1 Nighttime Benefit of Apple Cider Vinegar That HARDLY ANYONE KNOWS

Apple cider vinegar is one of the simplest, most inexpensive natural remedies that can make a huge difference in your health. In this video, I’ll cover 7 health benefits of apple cider vinegar that can make a difference tonight! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] 0:00 Introduction: ACV benefits 0:10 Acetic acid and insulin resistance 1:26 Apple cider vinegar for digestion 3:28 ACV for weight loss 4:50 ACV for energy 5:52 Try apple cider vinegar at night! Check out 7 amazing apple cider vinegar benefits that can improve your health starting tonight! 1. Healthy blood sugar levels The main ingredient in apple cider vinegar is acetic acid, which can stabilize blood sugar when you go to bed. ACV can significantly improve insulin resistance. It slows the breakdown of sugar and starches to reduce the insulin spike after eating. 2. Better sleep One to two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water before bed can help you sleep better. 3. Improved digestion Apple cider vinegar can reduce bloating and improve digestion. This can improve sleep and eliminate heartburn at night. 4. Improves mineral absorption Apple cider vinegar can improve the absorption of important minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and potassium. It can alleviate symptoms of magnesium deficiency like tetany or leg cramps by improving magnesium absorption. If your stomach is too alkaline, mineral absorption will be inhibited. 5. Weight loss ACV helps you lose weight by increasing insulin sensitivity and improving insulin resistance. 6. Improved liver detoxification ACV can improve liver detoxification and increase the release of bile. Bile improves the digestion of fat. 7. ACV for fuel The body can use acetic acid as fuel. This won’t keep you up at night because it takes a good amount of energy to sleep restfully! Try mixing 1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar into a glass of water. Drink this mixture with a straw to protect your teeth. Comment below and let me know what benefits you see! Let’s talk about how to get rid of facial hair if you’re a female. The top cause of facial hair in females is PCOS. But, there are other potential causes, including a tumor on the adrenal glands or pituitary gland or Cushing’s syndrome. Symptoms of PCOS: 1. Heavy cycles 2. No cycles 3. Acne 4. Infertility 5. Insulin resistance The top cause of PCOS is high androgens. There is a lot of conflicting information on the internet and various suggestions on how to help improve this condition—but these recommendations can be confusing. I believe that excess insulin increases androgens, so high insulin is the root cause of PCOS, which then leads to facial hair. In my opinion, a good solution would be to lower insulin. How to lower insulin: 1. Lower your carb intake 2.
