Descripción

"You’re doing great!" I get it. It’s supportive. It’s compassionate. Feels like you are helping.  But man I’ve come to hate those words. Not because they’re unkind, but because they give people a way out right when they’re closest to breaking through their edge. "Doing great” praises the steps already taken, as if the person has done above expectation already, but it also subtly tells them the hard part is over, even when it’s not. It invites them to settle… instead of stepping forward and exploring that limit. I I always correct it to: “You’ve got this.” Because that says, “You can still go further.” Listen to the entire blog/podcast and follow us at The Rebellion.

The Difference Between Growth and the Performance of It.

At The Rebellion, we spend a lot of time thinking about growth, but more importantly, we spend our time inside of it. We design environments, frameworks, and experiences where people step outside of what’s familiar and into situations that ask something real from them. Not the idea of growth, not the conversation around it, but the actual moment where it either happens or it doesn’t. And because we’re in that work every day, across different teams, industries, and leaders, we get a front row seat to how people respond when things become real. Over time, something has become increasingly clear. There’s a version of growth that looks real from the outside… but isn’t.
