Author's Note

A note from Eric Nordstrom. After he retired, I watched my father, Eugene, fully embrace a new passion: writing. He went on to complete four novels, and this book, Cape Deception [https://www.amazon.com/Cape-Deception-Dr-Eugene-Nordstrom/dp/1511468882/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0], was his last, finished in 2015. Cape Deception was the only book he recorded as an audiobook, though his other works are available in print [https://www.powells.com/books/search?query=Eugene+Nordstrom&page=1]. I’m sharing this as a podcast so that those who knew my father might reconnect with his memory and hear his voice once again. If you didn’t know Eugene Nordstrom, know that you are listening to the voice of a deeply caring man who served as a clinical psychologist for thirty years. Writing was a passion he found later in life that gave him immense purpose and joy. My hope is that listening to his story brings some of that joy to you, as well.
