Descripción

In this episode of Contra Cast, I break down the quiet shift happening beneath the surface of Bitcoin, Lightning, and Nostr. While governments and mainstream institutions spent years dismissing Bitcoin as worthless or dangerous, the U.S. government now reportedly holds hundreds of thousands of BTC and is considering legislation to acquire even more. At the same time, Lightning adoption is accelerating, Nostr developers are shipping new apps at an incredible pace, and machine-to-machine payments powered by Bitcoin are beginning to emerge. The episode argues that Bitcoin is no longer just a speculative asset, it’s becoming the monetary layer for a new parallel internet built on sovereign identity, open protocols, and permissionless communication. The central thesis: the infrastructure everyone ignored is quietly becoming the infrastructure that wins.

Builders in the Age of Collapse

I want to talk about building. Not just the buzzword “building,” but the real thing. Building Protestant churches that preach like they actually believe Christ rules the nations. Building Protestant schools that raise children to be men and women of dominion, not cogs for the state. Pulling our kids out of Pharaoh’s house and teaching them to walk in freedom. Building with Bitcoin as the monetary backbone of that freedom. And building with Nostr as the social and cultural nervous system that can’t be censored, can’t be bought, and can’t be co-opted. Because here’s the truth: history belongs to the builders. And the great lie of the last century has been that we can outsource building to the state, or to Wall Street, or to Silicon Valley, or to whoever is supposedly “in charge.” No. The task is ours. And right now, under this administration—with its chaos, its hostility, and its incompetence—the opportunity is greater than it has been in decades.
