In this episode, Lauren Reagan shares the story of her son Declan's battle with acute myeloid leukemia, the life-saving role of blood transfusions and platelet donations, and how grief eventually led her toward advocacy and service. Over the course of Declan's treatment, he received dozens of blood and platelet transfusions that gave him precious time with the people who loved him most. After his death, Lauren transformed her grief into action, becoming a passionate advocate for blood donation and community support through Bloodworks Northwest.
