Within two days of arriving, he brutally assaulted her. DNA evidence confirmed the attack. He was arrested, then released on bail. Unable to cope with her trauma, Makayla took her own life in December 2025. His hearing is April 21st at the Ventura County Courthouse. A march in Makayla's honor begins at 8 a.m. at the corner of Victoria and Telephone. Show up. Make noise. She deserves justice. > > Alishon Torres, originally from Honduras, took action after her five-year-old sister revealed she had been molested by a 58-year-old man living nearby... and no adult in the family did anything.
