Descripción

This one has been sitting with me for a long time. And I finally felt ready to say it out loud. This week we are talking about the connection between emotional stress and physical illness. The years I spent saying yes to everything and no to myself. The relationships that cost me more than I realized. The things that happened to me that my body never forgot even when my mind tried to move on. And how all of it - every unprocessed thing, every season of survival mode, every boundary I didn't set - eventually showed up in my body in ways I could no longer ignore. I am also sharing something deeply personal that I have never said out loud on this platform. Not to shock you. But because I believe someone listening needs to hear it. And because my healing continues - and part of it is happening right here, with you. This episode is heavy. It is a little intense. And it ends with something I genuinely believe is going to set someone free. 💌 📖 Referenced in this episode:The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk 💛 If this episode brings something up for you, support is available: * Crisis Text Line — text HOME to 741741, free and confidential 24/7 * 988 Crisis Lifeline — call or text 988, available 24/7 * Call 911 if you are in immediate danger You are not alone. 💌 📱 Come hang with us:TikTok [https://www.tiktok.com/@messyandserene] & Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/messyandserene/]: @messyandserene 💌 Join The Messy Middle Mail [https://messy-serene-podcast.kit.com/messymiddlemail] 🎙️ New episodes every Monday - hit follow and turn on notifications so you never miss one! episode Just Because You Love Them Doesn't Mean You Should Stay artwork

Just Because You Love Them Doesn't Mean You Should Stay

This one is for my single ladies and the ones still in the dating season. But if you're married - don't skip. Think about who in your life needs this message. A friend. A daughter. Someone you love who keeps choosing the wrong person. Let me be your messenger. Send it to them. And to whoever just got that link forwarded to them - hi. I'm Natalie. I'm sorry but I'm not sorry. You might be exactly the person who needs to hear this today. This week we are talking about the kind of love that keeps you in places you should have left. Why chemistry is not compatibility. Why we fall in love with potential instead of the actual person standing in front of us. Why I stayed in relationships I knew weren't right - and the real honest reasons behind it. We are also talking about negotiables and non-negotiables, inviting God into your dating, and what it actually looks like to love yourself enough to leave. The love was real. And the leaving was still right. Both things can be true. 📱 Come hang with us:TikTok [https://www.tiktok.com/@messyandserene] & Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/messyandserene/]: @messyandserene 💌 Join The Messy Middle Mail [https://messy-serene-podcast.kit.com/messymiddlemail] 🎙️ New episodes every Monday - hit follow and turn on notifications so you never miss one! episode I Am That Girl and I'm Making Peace With It artwork

I Am That Girl and I'm Making Peace With It

This one is a little lighter. A little more honest. And somehow still going to hit exactly where you live. This week I'm sitting down and talking about the parts of myself I have had to make peace with. The relentlessness that has served me and cost me at the same time. The girl who used to not be the shoulder to cry on and had to learn how to be. The black and white thinker learning to live in gray. The one who just wanted to be chosen and stayed too long in places that were slowly hollowing her out because of it. This is not a list of affirmations. This is a real conversation about what it actually looks like to stop fighting yourself and start allowing yourself. And it ends with a challenge that might be the most personal one yet. 💌 📱 Come hang with us:TikTok [https://www.tiktok.com/@messyandserene] & Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/messyandserene/]: @messyandserene 💌 Join The Messy Middle Mail [https://messy-serene-podcast.kit.com/messymiddlemail] 🎙️ New episodes every Monday - hit follow and turn on notifications so you never miss one! episode God Has a Sense of Humor and I'm the Punchline artwork

God Has a Sense of Humor and I'm the Punchline

Have you ever looked back at your life and realized God was setting something up while you were completely clueless about what was happening? This week we are getting into it. The cancelled plans that turned into something better. The prayers He answered so fast you asked for another sign anyway. The detours that turned out to be the whole point. And how I ended up at Kleinfeld buying my wedding dress before I even had a proposal. This episode is lighter. It is funny. And somehow it is still going to make you feel deeply seen. Because I think once you start looking for God in the inconvenient, unexpected, perfectly timed moments of your life - you realize He has been there the whole time. Just laughing a little while He worked. He is so in the details. And I am the punchline. 💌 📱 Come hang with us:TikTok [https://www.tiktok.com/@messyandserene?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc] & Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/messyandserene/]: @messyandserene 💌 Join The Messy Middle Mail: Here [https://messy-serene-podcast.kit.com/messymiddlemail] 🎙️ New episodes every Monday - hit follow and turn on notifications so you never miss one! episode Boundaries Are Not A Bad Word artwork

Boundaries Are Not A Bad Word

Last week we talked about saying yes to your calling. This week we're talking about how to protect it. Boundaries. I know — stay with me. For a long time I thought setting a boundary meant I was doing something to someone. Cutting them off. Shutting them out. And so I avoided them. I kept the peace. I said yes when I meant no. I absorbed things that were running me down. And I genuinely believe that accumulation was part of what led to my illness. My therapist said something that changed everything for me: a boundary is not a fence you put up to keep other people out. It is something you put in place to protect your own capacity. Your peace. Your well-being. This episode is about what boundaries actually are, what they are not, and why you are allowed to have them — with people, with yourself, with your calling, and with your own schedule. You cannot pour from empty. And the world needs what is in you. 💌 📱 Come hang with us:TikTok & Instagram: @messyandserene 💌 Join The Messy Middle Mail [https://messy-serene-podcast.kit.com/messymiddlemail] 🎙️ New episodes every Monday - hit follow and turn on notifications so you never miss one!
