Odds & Ends
On 6 May in South Africa, Pointers went on their first brick-building visit for Door of Hope [https://doorofhope.co.za/]. Door of Hope is a local organisation that provides care for abandoned children. They’re looking to expand their operations by building 70 houses for abandoned children that can’t be (or aren’t) adopted, giving them a chance to start adulthood on the right track. Each brick-making session produces roughly 400 bricks, which is nearly 1/10 of what’s required for a single house; the project is expected to take several years, but our South African team is looking forward to being a part of the progress. Bernice Smith talked to Brian about the experience in this episode; if you’d like to help Door of Hope and the South African team build more houses - via donation or by helping build bricks - contact our South African office [bernice.smith@pointofrental.com] for corporate donations. and visit here to donate individually (South Africa [https://doorofhope.co.za/donate-south-africa/] | International [https://doorofhope.co.za/donate-international/]).
