Bethany Michalak just played a huge role in helping NC State win the cross country national title where she was an all American with a 29th place finish as a sophomore. She improved by over 100 spots this year from her freshman year cross country finish  and is one of the most promising up and coming runners in the NCAA. Bethany was a very successful high school runner, leading her team to a nike cross national title and winning Colorado State Championships. In this episode Bethany takes me through her transition to college running and gives the inside scoop on NC State's national title team.

Today on the podcast I’m joined by Jack Graffeo! Jack is a redshirt freshman at the University of Colorado Boulder and is showing the world that he’s ready for the big leagues. After facing a season ending injury during his senior year outdoor track season he overcame it and has shown tremendous promise throughout his first few races in the NCAA. In the fall he won the infamous cross country Nuttycomb B race and most recently ran 13:29 for the 5k in his return to his home town of Boston. In this episode Jack takes me through the end of his high school career and everything that led up to building from 0 to 80 miles a week after his season ending injury.
