Shafayat Mohamed

Shafayat Mohamed is a well-respected Islamic scholar and community leader known for his extensive work in Islamic education and community service, particularly in the United States. Originally hailing from Trinidad, Shafayat Mohamed has dedicated his life to the study and dissemination of Islamic knowledge, as well as to fostering unity and understanding within the Muslim community and beyond. Shafayat Mohamed began his Islamic education in Trinidad, where he studied the foundational aspects of Islam, including Quranic studies, Hadith, and Fiqh. To further his knowledge, he later moved to India, where he attended Darul Uloom Deoband, one of the most prestigious Islamic seminaries in the world. At Deoband, he studied under some of the most respected scholars in the Islamic world, deepening his understanding of Islamic jurisprudence, theology, and spirituality. After completing his studies, Shafayat Mohamed returned to the Western Hemisphere, where he established the Darul Uloom Institute in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This institution serves as a center for Islamic learning and community activities, offering a wide range of educational programs, including Quranic memorization, Islamic studies, and Arabic language courses. The Darul Uloom Institute also plays a significant role in interfaith dialogue and community outreach, reflecting Shafayat Mohamed’s commitment to promoting peace and understanding among different communities. In addition to his role at Darul Uloom Institute, Shafayat Mohamed has been involved with various Islamic organizations across the United States.
