Needing to blow off a little steam, he figures no harm can come from playing a little practical joke at the upcoming potluck. Practical jokes are innocent enough, right? Alex Zimmer failed to become a lawyer, opting to chase his dreams of being a writer. After landing a job reporting on personal injury accidents, his parents are filled with disappointment. But Alex is determined to make his parents proud, no matter what the cost.

In our first story, we meet Derek, a man currently serving time. He shares the details of what should have been an average move into a nice rural duplex, but turned sinister once he met his elderly neighbors, a deceptively sweet religious couple, Harold and Ruth Peterson. Our second tale introduces us to a struggling musician who, while moping about his latest stage performance, finds a magical talisman in the forest. But after attempting to use the object to make a wish, he soon regrets ever finding it. Both stories are written, performed, and produced by Bill Mullane. They were originally released as part of the "A Brothers' Macabre" series in October 2024.
