In 2 Corinthians 4:16–18, Paul encourages believers not to lose heart because, although our physical bodies are wasting away, God is continually renewing our inner selves day by day. Therefore, Christians are called to fix their eyes not on the visible and passing things of this world, but on the unseen and everlasting realities of God's kingdom.

Matthew 11:28–30 "The Heart of Jesus" (Wednesday 6/3/26)

In Matthew 11:28–30, Jesus extends one of the most gracious invitations in all of Scripture: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Speaking to people burdened by sin, suffering, and the weight of religious legalism, Jesus offers not merely relief from life's pressures but true rest for the soul. This passage reminds us that the Christian life is not about carrying heavier burdens but about walking closely with Christ, whose yoke is easy, whose burden is light, and whose grace is sufficient for every weary heart.
