episode Episode 3: Marisa Merliss on Resilience artwork

Episode 3: Marisa Merliss on Resilience

Marisa Merliss is a modern day Jane Fonda. She has danced on stages around the world, changed lives through the classes she teaches, brought folks on international retreats, and on top of it all, she is a nurse! At the start of the pandemic, she tragically lost her first child, and a few weeks later found out that she had a rare form of cancer. Through this devastation, she has prevailed. Her positive attitude and caring energy can be felt from miles away, and is something that I have always felt and noticed. I thought that Marisa was the perfect person to talk to about resilience. We recorded this podcast over zoom a few months ago. We talk a lot about different ways to care for your self and charge your reserves. We discuss what resilience means, and how sometimes it is just the strength to get out of bed in the morning (or stay in bed if you really need it), and discuss the importance of rest. I felt so charged up after talking to Marisa, and I think you will too!
