A Future and a Hope

As we look to a new year ahead, having put 2020 and 2021 behind us, it’s likely that many of us feel like we could use a little more hope. We could use more hope in our individuals lives, and in the life of the church. While the future may be uncertain, and times may get tougher still; we know that God is unchanging and is always with us.  That is our reason for our hope.

Life is hard – the Christian Life is Harder. Let’s face it, living our lives in obedience to God and with the desire to please Him can take a lot of strength, and requires God’s help and support for us to do it. Isn’t it great we don’t have to do it alone? Our God is with us. And because of that, we can do anything through Jesus Christ who gives us strength.

Growing a Grateful Heart 2021 THANKSGIVING

How thankful are we? The Bible tells us to give thanks in everything, “for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thess. 5:18). That’s not always easy to do. But, as in all things, God can help us to do that as we seek to please Him in all that we do. Doers of the Word: Examples to Follow

The Bible provides us many examples of faithful followers who were doers of the Word of God--Zechariah and Elizabeth were two such people.  Today's message looks to see what they did to be doers of the Word; and how we can be doers also.

The Apostle James tells us in his letter to be "Doers of the Word, and not hearers only."  What comes next is on us.  Will we apply the Word of God to our lives?  Or will we let it go in one ear and out the other?
