I have so much to do - Ep 25

In today's world, it can feel like life is one long to-do list and there's no real place to rest. I recently started reading a book called Making Time by Maria Bowler, [https://www.mariabowler.com/makingtime] which explores this constant pressure as more than just a personal problem. She points to it as a kind of inherited belief, something shaped by culture, religion, and industry that many of us never stopped a question. That got me curious about my own relationship with time and productivity, so I turned inward and explored my own to-do list. This episode's belief is "I have so much to do". I explored it not as a productivity problem to solve or something to manage better, but as a thought to question, a thought that creates pressure, false urgency, and a kind of low grade panic. If you've been feeling overwhelmed or stretched thin, I invite you to listen along as you discover your own insights along with mine. ****** "Your Thoughts at Work" is a podcast that explores explore the beliefs that shape our experience of work, life and sometimes, our whole identity. "I'm Going to Look Bad" - Ep 23 with Matthew Meredith

Texas attorney Matthew Meredith reminds us that no matter how much experience or success we have, old fears can still show up that create havoc in our minds. He explores the stressful thought, “I’m going to look bad.” It’s a familiar fear that dates back to high school and shows up whenever he’s on the verge of something new. Through self-inquiry, Matthew discovers that the harsh standards he applies to himself are ones he would never use on others. And instead of battling the anxious voice in his mind, he begins to meet it with a reminder of past successes, and even a little gratitude. ***** On "Your Thoughts at Work" we explore the beliefs that shape our experience of work, and sometimes, our whole identity.
