Over Energize Appalachia

Energize Appalachia is a production of the Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development. COAD is a 51-year-old nonprofit organization that provides direct services for Ohio’s Appalachian counties in early childcare and education, AmeriCorps Seniors, home weatherization and energy efficiency, and more. We cover COAD’s programs in our communities and hear the stories of the impacted lives. We follow the energy that powers our community to the people and places who make it happen. Episode 01: Weatherization, Training, and Recovery

Energize Appalachia focuses on the programs of COAD (Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development) and their impact on the communities in our region by talking to the people who are making that happen. In this episode, our central theme is the impact of our Weatherization Training Programs, and other partnerships in the region based out of our Training Center. We learn about Recovery Point in Parkersburg, meet our instructors, and go out on the job with a graduate of the training programs.
