Have you ever felt exhausted from carrying everyone else's problems, emotions, and responsibilities? As Christian moms, we often hear that we're called to serve others. But somewhere along the way, many of us started believing that helping everyone is the same thing as loving everyone. In this episode, we're going back to the basics of healthy boundaries. We'll talk about what boundaries actually are, what they aren't, and why understanding the difference can transform your relationships, reduce resentment, and create more peace in your life. We'll also explore the powerful distinction found in Galatians 6 between carrying someone's burden and carrying someone's load—and why Christian moms often struggle to know the difference. In This Episode: * What healthy boundaries actually are * What God has entrusted you to steward * Why boundaries are not selfish, controlling, or unloving * The difference between burdens and backpacks * Why Christian moms often struggle with boundaries * The difference between helping and rescuing * How boundaries strengthen relationships and reduce resentment * Why we're responsible to others, not for others QUESTIONS 1. What responsibilities has God entrusted to me in this season? 2. Where might I be carrying a backpack that belongs to someone else? 3. Am I helping carry a burden, or am I rescuing someone from responsibilities that are theirs to manage? EP 28: The Midweek Reset: Why Setting Goals Isn't Enough

Have you ever started a goal feeling motivated, only to lose momentum a few days later? In this Midweek Reset, Lori explores why vision is often more powerful than goals. Goals tell us what we want, but vision helps us connect emotionally to why it matters. Learn how creating a compelling picture of the life you want can increase motivation, simplify decision-making, and help you stay committed to the habits that support the future you're trying to build. In This Episode, You'll Learn: * Why goals alone often aren't enough to sustain motivation * How vision creates emotional connection and momentum * Why vision boards and inspiration can be powerful tools * How to identify what you're naturally drawn toward * The difference between chasing a goal and creating a future * How vision can help you make better daily decisions QUESTIONS 1. What am I consistently drawn toward? 2. What do I admire about it? 3. What need, value, or desire might that reveal? 4. What is one vision I want to create for this season of life? EP 25: The Biggest Life Hack for Overwhelmed Moms

IN THIS EPISODE What if one of the biggest life hacks for overwhelmed moms had less to do with doing more… and more to do with taking better care of yourself? In this episode, we’re talking about why prioritizing your health may actually be a keystone habit — one foundational habit that creates positive ripple effects in almost every other area of your life. Because healthy habits don’t just change your body. They change your energy, your routines, your mindset, your emotional capacity, your confidence, and the way you show up in your relationships, parenting, and daily life. This episode is not about perfection, extreme dieting, or unrealistic routines. It’s about creating foundational habits that support a more peaceful, intentional, and proactive life. In This Episode We Discuss: * Why health is a “keystone habit” * How healthy habits compound over time * Why structure creates more peace and freedom * The connection between health, emotional regulation, and capacity * How reducing decision fatigue lowers stress * Why envisioning a different life matters * Creating an elevated, intentional lifestyle through simple habits * Practical ways to start prioritizing your health as a busy mom * Stewardship, discipline, and aligning your habits with your values * Lori’s personal story of how prioritizing her health changed her identity and life direction What We Discussed * * Drinking more water and walking consistently * Prioritizing protein and simplifying meals * Strength training and building foundational habits * Creating staple meals and reducing overwhelm * Building proactive systems instead of living reactively * Creating peaceful nighttime routines and rhythms * Viewing healthy habits as support instead of punishment * How healthy habits can crowd out chaos and misalignment RELATED EPISODES * Episode 8 — Don't Let Comfort Drain Your Future (The Cost of Comfort-Part 4:Physical * Episode 15 — This is the Abundant Life and Finding Satisfaction (And It's Not What You Think) * Episode 16 — Less Is The Abundant Life, Living on Purpose (Midweek Reset) RESOURCES & LINKS Become a Healthy Boundaries for Moms Insider 🙌 Join the weekly newsletter for encouragement, practical strategies, boundaries support, organization tips, and Midweek Resets.
