Four adopted young adults flee their home during an invasion and are magically transported to a parallel world where they unknowingly disrupt a violent slave trade. Aeden, the eldest, is a human haunted by a strange dream. He is determined to protect his siblings and new comrades with divine magic that many believe will bring a great evil. Ruccharieu “Rook” is an elf obsessed with water, arcana, and gaining knowledge. He learns an otherworldly being has been occupying his body like a symbiote all along. Niwa is a gnome who loves to share stories with the spirits of her deceased ancestors. As she gains self-confidence, she learns to summon new guides in this dangerous world. Kliyd, the youngest, is a tikus (a rat person) who often has premonitions. Stealthy and athletic, she hides her emotions, but remains fiercely loyal to her family and other tikus. The siblings are determined to stick together as they search for their missing parents, Gorram and Saba, hoping to be reunited as a family soon. The saga begins here, across the sun.
