Les mer Building Champions

A day as a general manger in the NBA, see how to run a NBA team. In this podcast i will be talking about the teams that have succeeded in the NBA and teams that have failed in it. I want to go in depth about why these team were successful or why they weren't. I think the general manger is very overlooked and one of the most important thing when it comes to basketball. I want to explain general mangers mistakes and how they could've done better to change there situation.

episode Portland’s Rebuild cover

Portland’s Rebuild

You are listening to the Art of Building Championship podcast with your host(s) Ethan Peck. In this episode of the Art of Building Championship Podcast, we discuss The Portland trailblazers and their rebuild. SEGMENT 1: A FRESH START The Portland Blazers this offseason decided it was their time to start their rebuild by getting the second overall pick and trading away their best player Damien Lillard for Jrue holiday and picks. The Blazers then proceeded to trade away Holiday to the Celtics for Malcokm Brodgan Robert WIlliams and future picks. SEGMENT 2: THE DRAFT. The Blazers with the #2 overall pick decided to select Scoot Henderson of ou the G league Ignite. Henderson has not been everything Portland has expected to start the season as he is struggling greatly from the 3-point line. The Blazers hope that this is just rookie slums as Henderson has shown some potential, but it hasn’t looked great. The Blazers also hope that thier young guards Simmons and Sharp can take another step moving forward becoming all starts in the future. SEGMENT 3: THE FINAL TOUCHES ON THEIR REBUILD The Blazers also decided that they wanted more size and they traded away their center Nurkic for Deandre Ayton to try to get younger and maybe give the 1 option to Ayton to see what he is made of or for future trade value The Blazers are now I a great spot for a rebuild they have all of their pieces they need to get trade pieces when their young players start to shine. episode Phoenix Suns super team? cover

Phoenix Suns super team?

You are listening to the Art of Building Championships. the podcast with your host(s) Ethan Peck.  In this episode of the Are of Building Championships Podcast, we discuss the Phoenix Suns and their rebuild. SEGMENT 1: DEVAN BOOKER  Devan Booker was selected 13th overall in the 2015 overall draft. Devan Booker has been the saving grace for the Suns and for his first few years with the Suns, he was one of the only bright spots on the whole team. The Suns knew they had a great young player in their hands and needed to make some moves to win. At first, the Suns decided to trade Kelly Obure and pick Chris Paul. SEGMENT 2: TITLE RUN  The Suns went through a complete flip in the matter of one season where they missed the playoffs the next year they acquired Chris Paul, made the finals, and actually had a 2-0 lead on the Bucks. They had a completely different change in culture even though they had come up short in the NBA finals. The Suns would run it back for another year being dominant in the regular season but falling apart in game 7 of the semi-conference round. This would eventually lead to the Suns making the trade for Kevin Durant mid-season. SEGMENT 3: DIFFERENT TEAM The Suns thought their championship window was closing and it is now for sure with an older Kevin Durant on your team. The Suns went home again in the second round with KD this led to the Suns trading Chris Paul and bringing in Bradley Beal from the Wizards to be their third scorer. A lot of people were not happy with everything the Suns have done completely new teams besides Booker being the only player from that run. Personally, I think they did too much trying to become a winning team when they should’ve just kept their young core and traded Chirs Paul

OKC’s Quick Turn Around

Hopewell Valley Student Podcasting Network  The Art of Building Championships OKC epic rebuild Episode #5 You are listening to the Art of Building Chamonships the podcast with your host Ethan Peck. In this episode of The Art of Building Championships the Podcast, we discuss the Oklahoma City Thunder and Their rebuild. SEGMENT 1: THE START OF THE REBUILD OKC had been sent home in the second round for the second straight year. The OKC Thunder know this won’t work with their current roster. After Dame Lillard sent the OKC home Paul Geogre was traded for 5 first-round rounds picks and their franchise player SGA. This turned out to be a huge win trade for the OKC big home run. After getting rid of Paul George, OKC really had no choice, but to trade Russel Westbrook as well to the Houston Rockets for Chris Paul and 2 first-round picks with 2 pick swaps. SEGMENT 2: REBUILDING IN THE DRAFT. OKC was able to do so many draft picks with their own and other teams. They were bound to hit on one of these draft picks. They were able to pick up Luo Dort. He was an undrafted rookie in 2019 and became a good 3 and d player for OKC. In 2021 they were able to hit on their first draft pick drafting Josh Gidey. Josh Gidey his rookie year showed good potential. The following year OKC drafted a big prospect in Chet Holgrum # 2 overall, who would unfrochally miss his whole rookie year due to injury. SEGMENT 3: WHERE THEY LAY RIGHT NOW. OKC has started their new season looking good their rebuild is still in effect, with Chet Holgrum making his return from injury this season and looking like a rookie of the year candidate. SGA having a great season making himself known as a top 5 guard in the NBA averaging 29 points to start the season. With Josh Gidey averaging a very good 14, 7, and 6. OKC is currently 7-4 and 5 in the west as they look to return to the playoffs for the first time since the bubble in 2020.  MUSIC CREDITS: READ ALL OVER- NATHAN MOORE, DREAM OF RIVER GANGA-HANU DIXIT. episode The Raptors Remarkable year cover

The Raptors Remarkable year

Hopewell Valley Student Podcasting Network  The art of building championships The Raptors remarkable year Episode #4 You are listening to the Art of Building Championships the podcast with your host Ethan Peck. In this episode of the Art of Building Championships Podcast, we discuss The Toronto Raptors and their remarkable championship run. SEGMENT 1: ALL IN  They traded one of their best players in franchise history Demar Derozen, for Kahwi Leonard and Danny Green. The Raptors also were bringing in a rookie coach Nick Nurse. This was a very important year. As Kawhi Leonard has expressed he will leave in free agency after this year. This was a championship-or-bust type year for the Raptors. The Raptors figured this out quickly into the regular season at the trade deadline they were to trade for a big man Marc Gasol. SEGMENT 2: THE CLUTCH SHOT  The Raptors ended the season as the two seed ready for a postseason run. They played the Orlando Magic in the first round. The first game of the postseason didn’t go in Toronto’s favor, as they lost game 1 of the first round. After this game, the Raptors stopped messing around and turned it around, and won 4 straight winning the series 4-1. They then played the 76ers in the second round this was by far their hardest match of the whole playoffs as the Sixers were stacked this year. This series went to game 7 in the final seconds of game 7, and Kahwi Lenoard hit the shot of his lifetime ending the Sixers season winning in game 7. SEGMENT 3 THE FINAL RUN  The Raptors were one series away from a finals appearance. They played the Bucks and quickly went down 2-0. The Raptors made some adjustments and won 4 straight to beat the Bucks in six games. They were onto the finals where they played a banged-up Warriors team. The Raptors went up 3-1 before Golden State could get healthy leading to the Raptors first championship in Franchise history. The offseason was huge for the Raptors as they lost their best player Kahwi Lenard most people knew this coming into the offseason, So it makes it even nicer the Raptors were able to win. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
