Ep. 1 - Violet Jessop, Platypi & Mimsy

In this episode of Call It Kismet, Katie and Mary Kate bounce from one unhinged topic to the next: starting with the absolutely wild true story of Violet Jessop, the woman who survived the Titanic and multiple other shipwrecks, casually saved a mystery baby, and somehow kept getting back on boats. Things pivot into how Mary Kate accidentally adopted her cat Mimsy (formerly named Highway, unfortunately) and why some things in life really do feel meant to be. The episode wraps up in a full spiral about platypuses - egg laying mammals with venomous ankles, glowing fur, no nipples, and a suspicious connection to Perry the Platypus. It’s chaotic, funny, mildly educational, and a perfect example of how one random thought can turn into an entire episode.
