Hands in For Care
Nurse Mae is new at Robinson Middle School and on an otherwise typical day receives a visit from a very distressed student with Autism. Mae decides the best option is to dismiss her student home, but when mom arrives it’s clear that was not the right choice. Join me and our roundtable guests as we discuss how building relationships and trust with students and families is key to student health and success in school. This podcast follows the STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIPS A Framework for Prenatal through Young Adulthood Family Engagement in Massachusetts [https://www.doe.mass.edu/sfs/family-engagement-framework.pdf].
